Myeloma Canada joins the global Myeloma Action Month initiative
This March, Myeloma Canada is proud to join the global myeloma community in observing Myeloma Action Month. While awareness remains vitally important, it’s action that drives real change, action that advances research, improves care, and connects people living with myeloma across the globe.
By aligning with this worldwide initiative, we’re strengthening our collective voice and commitment to not just inform, but to inspire meaningful participation from every corner of our community. Whether you’re someone who lives with myeloma, a caregiver, healthcare provider, researcher, or supporter, Myeloma Action Month is your invitation to step forward, make your voice heard, and be part of the movement toward life uninterrupted by myeloma.
How you can participate:
This year, we’re inviting Canadians to join us in making myeloma matter across the country.
Step 1: Wear something RED.
Step 2: Print the “Making Myeloma Matter in [CITY]” sign and fill in the blank.
Step 3: Snap a photo with your sign.
Share your photo on social media and type the hashtag #MyelomaActionMonth and #MoreThanMyeloma in the caption.
Download the “Making Myeloma Matter in [CITY]” sign.

Light the world red
Led by the International Myeloma Foundation’s Global Myeloma Action Network (GMAN), myeloma organizations around the world will light up landmarks in their communities in a powerful show of unity. While many of you have supported local landmark lightings for years, 2026 marks a coordinated global effort that brings our collective impact to a whole new level. We are deeply grateful to the many volunteers who have been working behind the scenes for months to make this campaign possible.
If a landmark lighting is happening in your area, here are some things you can do:
– Take photos of the landmark illuminated in red.
– If you’re comfortable, take a photo of yourself, your family, or your group with the lit landmark.
Please send your photos to Chantel Wicks at [email protected].
