Exciting changes to the Myeloma Canada team

Over the summer, we’ve sent out a few emails introducing new members of our team. It’s been a few busy months, but the payoff is a growing dedicated staff of hard-working, passionate, and caring people who are excited to serve the Canadian myeloma community.

Here’s a quick recap of our team changes:

Welcome to the team, Weronika Poziemska!

Myeloma Canada is delighted to introduce you to the newest member of the Myeloma Canada team, Weronika Poziemska (pronounced Veronika), who has joined us as the Community Engagement Coordinator for French Canada.

Weronika brings valuable experience and compassion to her new role. With a degree in Languages and Translation, Weronika is a multi-linguist (she speaks French, English, Polish, and Spanish) with strong skills in translation, editing, and intercultural communication. Her background also includes working as an orderly in a hospital where she supported both patients and caregivers with empathy and dedication.

In her new position, Weronika will:

  • Assist with French translation and editing needs across our programs and resources
  • Work closely with Support Group Leaders in Quebec and French-speaking support groups across Canada
  • Serve as liaison with hospitals and cancer centres throughout Quebec

Who to contact at Myeloma Canada…

Weronika Poziemska ([email protected]) will be the dedicated contact for all French-speaking support groups, whether in Quebec or other provinces.

Chantel Wicks ([email protected]) remains the contact for English-speaking support groups.

A well-deserved promotion for Chantel Wicks

We’re pleased to announce the promotion and expansion of Chantel Wicks’ role to National Manager of Community Outreach and Resources.

Furthermore, Chantel and Weronika will work together to develop, enhance, and expand our community resources and programs.

Please join us in congratulating Chantel on this well-deserved promotion!
