The changing landscape of multiple myeloma – Toronto Star
September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month — an important time to spotlight the impact of blood cancers on the lives of Canadians. While many people are familiar with blood cancers like leukemia, they may not know that multiple myeloma is the second most prevalent blood cancer in Canada and is predicted to take the lives of an estimated 1,750 Canadians in 2024.
“Awareness is critical so people can identify early symptoms and get the care they deserve,” said Martine Elias, CEO at Myeloma Canada.
