Dory Abelman: Cell-Free DNA from Blood or Bone Marrow as Alternatives to Bone Marrow Cells for Molecular Diagnostics and Monitoring of Multiple Myeloma 

  • “I am profoundly grateful to be awarded the Dr. Andrew R. Belch MEET Grant. This opportunity will enable me to participate in the 65th American Society of Hematology conference. At this conference, I will showcase our cutting-edge method of employing blood samples and excess bone marrow biopsy material for precise monitoring of multiple myeloma to leading hematologists in North America. My goal is to reduce patient discomfort while improving treatment precision to ensure everyone gets the right treatment for their myeloma subtype.”

Noémie Leblay, PhD: A High-Risk Subgroup Multiple Myeloma Classification Based on the Detection of PR Minor Subclones 

  • “The Dr. Andrew R. Belch MEET Grant gives me the opportunity to attend an international meeting devoted to hematological malignancies. I will have the opportunity to attend cutting-edge presentations on multiple myeloma. This will be an excellent opportunity to present my research, receive feedback from my peers, and initiate discussions that could lead to collaborations.”

Dr Pallavi Ganguli: Primary Care Management Pathways to Reduce Wait Times in Hematology: Monoclonal Gammopathy of Undetermined Significance 

  • “I am honoured to have been awarded the Dr. Andrew R. Belch MEET Grant. This award supports the work my colleagues and I pursue on monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance and related plasma cell disorders. Furthermore, it encourages continued work towards improving the treatment experience and outcomes of patients with these disorders.”
